Anti-FMIP [F6D/11]

Invented by Prof Alison Banham from University of Oxford
Invented at University of Oxford

Info

Catalogue Number 151786
Applications ELISA IHC WB
Antigen/Gene or Protein Targets Fms interacting protein (FMIP)
Reactivity Human
Relevance Fms interacting protein (FMIP) is a substrate, as well as a binding partner, of Fms tyrosine kinase. FMIP is a ubiquitous nuclear/cytoplasm shuttling protein with a leucine zipper. The overexpression of FMIP in myeloid progenitor cells alters the macrophage colony stimulating factor (M-CSF)-mediated macrophage differentiation. These cells differentiate into the granulocytic lineage rather than into the macrophage lineage. Furthermore, it has been shown that FMIP is one of the major molecules phosphorylated via the insulin-mediated signaling pathway in a preadipocyte cell line, 3T3-L1 cells, suggesting that FMIP may play a role in adipocyte differentiation.
Host Mouse
Immunogen C-terminus of the human FMIP protein as a glutathione-S-transferase (GST) fusion protein
Subclass IgG1
Myeloma Used P3/NS1/1-Ag4.1
Recommended Growing Conditions RPMI 1640 supplemented with 10% FBS, L-glutamine, Ultroser G and HAT. Please note that they have not been weaned off HAT and will not grow without it.
Research Area Cell Signaling & Signal Transduction, Cell Structure and Motility, Immunology
