Notes |
Reactivity: Respiratory Syncytial Virus The antibody (IgG2a) was raised against the A2 strain of virus and shown to react in ELISA against a panel of sub-group A strains isolated in Newcastle upon Tyne between 1966 and 1991, and sub-group B strains isolated between 1966 and 1985 as well as the laboratory A strain A2 and B strain 8/60. Epitope is less defined. As well as ELISA the antibody binds the F (specifically the F1) polypeptide in Western blots. It also binds to the F polypeptide expressed in E. coli but not to any of a set of overlapping fragment of F similarly expressed. |
