| Catalogue Number | 151587 |
| Applications | IF IP WB |
| Antigen/Gene or Protein Targets | pS157 HsCyk-4 (MgcRacGAP and RacGAP1) |
| Synonyms | Cyk-4 |
| Reactivity | Human, Mouse and Rat |
| Relevance | HsCyk-4 (or MgcRacGAP) is a subunit of the centralspindlin, and contains a GTPase activator protein (GAP) domain and directly interacts with the GTP exchange factor (GEF) Ect2, and both HsCyk-4 and Ect2 are essential for equatorial recruitment of the RhoA GTPase, the master regulator of actomyosin dynamics during cytokinesis. Plk1 binds and directly phosphorylates the HsCyk-4. |
| Host | Rabbit |
| Immunogen | Synthetic phospho-peptide ILSDI-pS-FDKTD corresponding to HsCyk-4 aa 152-162 (human) |
| Notes |
The immunogen is 100% conserved from human to mouse to rat; and the phosphorylation of Ser157 has been shown in human cells but not in mouse and rat. Western blot 1:1000 Immunoprecipitation Immunofluorescence 1:500 |
| Positive Control | Western blot on mitotic HeLa cell lysates (e.g. nocodazole arrested cells) |
| Research Area | Cell Cycle |
