Applications | WB |
Antigen/Gene or Protein Targets | Cyclin B1 |
Synonyms | CCNB1; Cyclin B1; G2/Mitotic-Specific Cyclin B1; CCNB |
Reactivity | Human |
Relevance | Cyclin B1 is involved in the regulation of cdk1, and the subsequent entry of eukaryotic cells into metaphase of the cell cycle. Cyclin B1 phosphorylates cdk1 at Thr14 and Tyr15, keeping cdk1 inactive. When cyclin B1 is inactivated by phosphorylation, cdc25 may then dephosphorylate Thr14 and Tyr15 of cdk1, allowing progression to metaphase. |
