Invented by Prof Neil Perkins at University of Newcastle upon Tyne

Info

Catalogue Number 151459
Applications IP WB
Antigen/Gene or Protein Targets BCL2 Associated Transcription Factor 1 (BCLAF1)
Reactivity Human
Relevance BCL2-associated transcription factor 1 (BCLAF1), also known as BTF, is a 920 amino acid protein that localizes to both the nucleus and the cytoplasm. Overexpression of BCLAF1 promotes apoptosis by preventing the transcription of Bcl-2. Bcl-2 is one of many key regulators of apoptosis which are essential for development, tissue homeostasis and protection against foreign pathogens. Four isoforms of BCLAF1 exist due to alternative splicing events.
Host Rabbit
Immunogen Recombinant His-tagged protein fragment of Human BCLAF1
Notes Suggested Dilution for western blot: 1:3000
Research Area Apoptosis and Programmed Cell Death, Epigenetics & Nuclear Signalling
