Invented by Karen Pulford from University of Oxford
Invented at University of Oxford

Info

Catalogue Number 151361
Applications FACS IHC WB
Antigen/Gene or Protein Targets Protein tyrosine phosphatase, receptor type, C (PTPRC, CD45)
Synonyms Protein Tyrosine Phosphatase; Receptor Type C; CD45; L-CA; T200; Protein Tyrosine Phosphatase; Receptor Type; C Polypeptide; T200 Leukocyte Common Antigen; Leukocyte Common Antigen; T200 Glycoprotein; GP180; CD45R; B220; LCA; LY5
Reactivity Human
Relevance PTPRC is a transmembrane tyrosine phosphatase that is present on all leukocytes. PTPRC regulates the threshold of T cell antigen receptor (TCR) signaling through dephosphorylation of protein tyrosine kinases (e.g. Lck and Fyn). 2B11 is widely used, in conjunction with the CD45RB antibody PD7/26, to detect white cell-derived tumours in paraffin sections.
Host Mouse
Immunogen T cell Lymphoma cells
Subclass IgG1 kappa
Myeloma Used P3/NS1/1-Ag4.1
Recommended Growing Conditions RPMI 1640 + 10% FCS + penicillin (100U/ml) + streptomycin (100mg/l) + glutamine (2mM) + HAT
Notes Ultroser G can be used at 1% if the cells are not growing well.
Research Area Cardiovascular, Cell Type or Organelle Marker, Cell Signaling & Signal Transduction, Immunology, Neurobiology, Stem Cell Biology
