Anti-CD9 [P1/33/2]

Catalogue Number 151347
Applications FACS IHC
Antigen/Gene or Protein Targets CD9
Synonyms CD9 Molecule; Cell Growth-Inhibiting Gene 2 Protein; Motility Related Protein-1; Leukocyte Antigen MIC3; CD9 Antigen (P24); Tetraspanin-29; 5H9 Antigen; TSPAN29; MRP-1
Reactivity Human
Relevance CD9 antigen is a glycoprotein expressed on the surface of developing B lymphocytes, platelets, monocytes, eosinophils, basophil, stimulated T lymphocytes and neurons and glial cells in the peripheral nervous system. CD9 mediates platelet aggregation and activation via FcgRIIa. It may play a role in cell migration.Antibodies against CD9 have utility in characterisation of acute leukaemias and in some cases AML and for functional studies on platelets
Host Mouse
Immunogen Acute lymphoblastic leukaemia cells
Subclass IgG1
Myeloma Used P3/NS1/1-Ag4.1
Recommended Growing Conditions RPMI 1640 + 10% FCS + penicillin (100U/ml) + streptomycin (100mg/l) + glutamine (2mM) + HAT
Notes Ultroser G can be used at 1% if the cells are not growing well.
Research Area Cancer, Cardiovascular, Cell Type or Organelle Marker, Developmental Biology, Immunology, Stem Cell Biology
