Anti-Leu2 [C8/144B]

Info

Catalogue Number 151345
Applications IHC IF IP WB
Antigen/Gene or Protein Targets Leu2 (CD8)
Synonyms CD8a Molecule; T-Lymphocyte Differentiation Antigen T8/Leu-2; CD8 Antigen; Alpha Polypeptide (P32); MAL; T-Cell Surface Glycoprotein CD8 Alpha Chain; Leu2 T-Lymphocyte Antigen; OKT8 T-Cell Antigen; T-Cell Antigen Leu2; T8 T-Cell Antigen; CD8a Antigen; Leu2; P32
Reactivity Human
Relevance CD8 is a T cell co-receptor that recognises, together with the T cell receptor, MHC class I molecules. CD8 is present on human suppressor/cytotoxic T cells which make up 30% of circulating T cells. C8/144B can be used to detect these cells in tissue sections and also their neoplastic counterparts.
Host Mouse
Immunogen Synthetic peptide (the 13 C-terminal residues of the cytoplasmic domain of human CD8a)
Subclass IgG1
Myeloma Used P3/NS1/1-Ag4.1
Recommended Growing Conditions RPMI 1640 + 10% FCS + penicillin (100U/ml) + streptomycin (100mg/l) + glutamine (2mM)
Notes Ultroser G can be used at 1% if the cells are not growing well.
Research Area Immunology, Stem Cell Biology
