Catalogue Number | 151277 |
Applications | ELISA WB |
Antigen/Gene or Protein Targets | S100A8 (MRP8) |
Reactivity | Human |
Relevance | S100A8 and S100A9 are cytosolic calcium-binding proteins of 8kDa and 14kDa respectively that form a heterodimer. S100A8 and S100A9 are expressed in peripheral blood monocytes, neutrophils and keratinocytes (mature). Expression is lost on tissue maturation of monocytes to macrophages. S100A9 may be associated with monocyte and neutrophil activation and the accumulation of these cells in inflammatory sites. |
Host | Mouse |
Immunogen | Recombinant human S100A8 |
Positive Control | Positive control: neutrophil lysate (from spleen) |
Subclass | IgG1 |
Myeloma Used | Sp2/0-Ag14 |
Recommended Growing Conditions | DMEM + 5% FCS |
Strain | Balb/c |
Notes | 2C5/4 is very specific for S100A8 both as an isolated protein and in combination with S100A9. |
Research Area | Cancer, Cell Type or Organelle Marker, Neurobiology |
