Anti-Rb1 [Rb1 (1F8)]

Catalogue Number 151156
Applications IHC IF IP
Antigen/Gene or Protein Targets Retinoblastoma (Rb1)
Reactivity Human
Relevance The Retinoblastoma protein (Rb) is a transcription factor that controls cell cycle progression (at the G1/S phase transition) through its repression of E2F-mediated transcription. Mutation of the Rb gene is found frequently in human sarcomas, lung, bladder and breast carcinomas and is the molecular basis for hereditary disposition to retinoblastoma.
Host Mouse
Immunogen Rb-b-galactosidase fusion protein spanning nucleotides 1126-1973 and representing 283 mino acids of Human Rb cDNA
Subclass IgG1
Molecular Weight (kDa) 105
Myeloma Used Sp2/0-Ag14
Recommended Growing Conditions DMEM + 10% FCS.
Strain Balb/c
Notes Rb1 may be used in sensitive assays for Rb complexed to the T antigen
Research Area Cancer, Cell Cycle, Cell Type or Organelle Marker
