Anti-Integrin b3 [MHF4]

Catalogue Number 151133
Applications FACS IHC IF IP
Antigen/Gene or Protein Targets Integrin ß3 chain (CD61)
Reactivity Human and Rat
Relevance Integrins are heterodimeric cell surface receptors composed of alpha and beta subunits, which mediate cell-cell and cell-extracellular matrix attachments. Aberrant integrin expression has been found in many epithelial tumours. Changes in integrin expression have been shown to be important for the growth and early metastatic capacity of melanoma cells. Integrin b3 is expressed in osteoclasts, megacaryocytes and platelets. MHF4 may be used to identify osteoclasts in tissue sections and bone cell suspensions. The MHF4 epitope is different to the F11 epitope.
Host Mouse
Immunogen A bone cell suspension containing osteoclasts, osteoblasts and bone marrow cells obtained from the long bones of newborn Sprague Dawley rats.
Subclass IgG1
Molecular Weight (kDa) 118/100
Recommended Growing Conditions DMEM + 5% FCS
Strain Balb/c
Notes A heterodimeric molecule with a characteristic shift in apparent molecular mass on reduction (137/78 kDa nonreduced; 118/100 kDa reduced).
Research Area Adhesion, Cardiovascular, Cell Signaling & Signal Transduction
