Anti-Integrin b3 [F11]

Invented at Queen Mary University of London

Info

Catalogue Number 151093
Applications FACS IHC IP Fn
Antigen/Gene or Protein Targets Integrin ß3 (CD61)
Reactivity Human and Rat
Relevance Integrins are heterodimeric cell surface receptors composed of alpha and beta subunits, which mediate cell-cell and cell-extracellular matrix attachments. Aberrant integrin expression has been found in many epithelial tumours. Changes in integrin expression have been shown to be important for the growth and early metastatic capacity of melanoma cells. Integrin b3 is expressed in osteoclasts, megacaryocytes and platelets. The F11 epitope is different to the MHF4 epitope.
Host Mouse
Immunogen A bone cell suspension containing osteoclasts, osteoblasts and bone marrow cells obtained from the long bones of newborn Sprague Dawley rats.
Subclass IgG1
Myeloma Used P3X63Ag8.653
Recommended Growing Conditions DMEM + 5% FCS
Strain Balb/c
Notes F11 may be used to identify ostoclasts in tissue sections and bone cell suspensions.
Flow Cytometry: MG-63 cells have been harvested, blocked for 20 minutes at 4C in 20% normal human serum then washing in medium containing 10% FBS. 5X10E5 cells per tube were subsequently incubated with primary antibody for 30 min on ice, washed with medium, and incubated with fluorescent-conjugated secondary antibody.
Immunocytochemistry: 15µg/mL dilution for immunostaining of cells adhering to vitronectin-coated coverslips and fixed in 1% paraformaldehyde containing 0.5% Triton X-100 for 20 minutes. There is a weak reactivity with humans
