Welcome to 2020!

It’s the beginning of the calendar year so we know there will be a strong focus on collating the value and impact that’s been generated for your institute over the past year.

To help you out, here’s some impact and value from your partnership with Ximbio:

Increased evidence of impact and value

Partnering with Ximbio, can help you identify new life science reagents and research tools to commercialise and add to your list of technologies. This can include many items you weren’t even aware existed within your institute’s laboratories.

Access to an additional, long-term, revenue stream

Taking advantage of the life sciences reagents on campus, provides you with an additional source of revenue and income, that can supplement the income from your other technologies. Reagents can also provide a long-term source of revenue with our TTO partners receiving regular royalty payments from the commercialisation of their technologies.

Closer connections with researchers established

Through the Ximbassador programme, closer connections can be established with the researchers at your institute. This is because the Ximbassador attends regular meetings with your life sciences researchers, discovering the latest research and technologies they are working on, allowing you to gain insight into potential new research tools and technologies that could have a licensing, patent or commercialisation potential. In addition, the presence of the Ximbassador and the regular meetings they have with researchers, provides a route for you to increase your presence on campus and to promote the benefits of what you do.

Streamlined reagent deposit process

Through Ximbio’s relationships with repositories around the world, the process of depositing and storing your research tools within these repositories can be streamlined. This reduces your administrative burden and ensures you have a secondary storage location for your research tools, providing a safety net, if anything happens to your research tools on campus.

Simple access to extensive life sciences reagent and commercialisation experience

Our primary focus is life sciences reagents of all kinds. We are therefore focused on commercialisation and licensing research tools within the life sciences industry. We have a lot of experience in this, having been responsible for commercialising all of Cancer Research UK’s life sciences reagents for the last 25 years. This has allowed us to build up a strong and varied global network of contacts within this industry; from pharma, and biotech companies, to researchers and TTOs.

We look forward to continuing to partner with you, to find new life sciences reagents, support Cancer Research UK and disseminate science worldwide. For more information on how we can help you save time, generate income and commercialise your reagents, contact us.
