A recent article published in Nature discusses the challenges of achieving reproducibility with antibodies and the frustrations all too commonly faced by scientists. We at Ximbio are aware of the issues scientists face as we are often the middle-men between antibody suppliers and the inventors of antibodies which are sold in the life science market place.
Through Ximbio, we want to achieve greater transparency to allow scientists to minimize the road blockers to progressing their research. We do this in the following ways:
1. Allow users to submit reviews to share their experiences of using an antibody clone. As we are unbiased, our website can connect users experiences with the suppliers of the antibodies, allowing trends to be observed.
2. Connect the inventing scientists of the reagent with the antibody on product datasheets found on our website. This way, Ximbio can validate the authenticity of the source.
3. Provide current and relevant references linking the specific use of the antibody clone and the application it is connected with.
