Integrin β1/ITGB1 Antibody (4B7R) is an IgG1 κ mouse monoclonal Integrin β1 antibody (also designated CD29 antibody) that detects Integrin β1 of mouse, rat and human origin by IF, IHC(P), FCM and ELISA. Integrin β1/ITGB1 Antibody (4B7R) is available as the non-conjugated anti-Integrin β1 antibody form, as well as multiple conjugated forms of anti-Integrin β1 antibody, including agarose, HRP, PE, FITC and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. Integrins are heterodimers composed of noncovalently associated transmembrane a and b subunits. The 16 a and 8 b subunits heterodimerize to produce more than 20 different receptors. Most integrin receptors bind ligands that are components of the extracellular matrix, including Fibronectin, collagen and vitronectin. Certain integrins can also bind to soluble ligands, such as fibrinogen, or to counterreceptors on adjacent cells such as the intracellular adhesion molecules (ICAMs), leading to aggregation of cells. Ligands serve to cross-link or cluster integrins by binding to adjacent integrin receptors; both receptor clustering and ligand occupancy are necessary for the activation of integrin-mediated responses. In addition to mediating cell adhesion and cytoskeletal organization, integrins function as signaling receptors. Signals transduced by integrins play a role in many biological processes, including cell growth, differentiation, migration and apoptosis.

I used Integrin β1 (4B7R): sc-9970 for IHC(P), but any tissues (including hepatocytes and endothelial cells) were completely negative for this antibody. I use BOND's auto staining machine. Why the antibody was negative for any tissues? How should I do?

Asked by: Dr HI
Thank you for your question. Please contact your local distributor or technical service directly for assistance regarding your Immunohistochemistry results, we are happy to help troubleshoot this with you.

Rated 2 out of 5 by luisssss from Specific? I've stained FFPE human reactive tonsil and lymph nodes. It stains single cells very bright and faintly stromal component. I don't understand if staining on single cells is specific or not. I've used Pronase as antigen retrival for 20' at 37°C and Novolink polymer as revelation kit followed by DAB.
