  • Name: Anti-IFN-Gammarel [VAB4P2B4*E8]
  • Alternate name: IFG antibody, IFI antibody, IFN gamma antibody, IFN immune antibody, IFN-gamma antibody, IFNG antibody, Immune interferon antibody, Interferon gamma antibody
  • Clone: VAB4P2B4*E8
  • Class: Monoclonal
  • Conjugation: Unconjugated
  • Molecular weight: 22 kDa
  • Strain: Balb/c
  • Reactivity: Salmon ; Brown Trout
  • Host: Mouse
  • Application: ELISA ; IHC ; WB
  • Description: Interferons (IFNs) were originally identified as proteins that induce an antiviral state in cells, but they also have important regulatory functions in the immune system. Type I IFN (predominantly IFN-Î? and IFN-Î?) and type II IFN (IFN-Î?) play critical roles in innate and adaptive immune response against viral infection in mammals. Unlike mammals fish have two type II interferons, IFN-Î? and IFN-Î?-related (IFN-Î?rel). IFN-Î? and IFN-Î?rel have recently been shown to play a role in protecting particular species of fish against infection by pathogens such as infectious pancreatic necrosis virus (IPNV) and salmonid alphavirus 3 (SAV3). VAB4P2B4*E8 can be used to study IFN-Î?rel in Atlantic salmon (Salmo salar) and Brown trout (Salmo trutta).
  • Immunogen: ovalbumin-conjugated synthetic peptide-DLKRSYYQDR; peptide immunogen is 90% identical to rainbow trout (Oncorhynchus mykiss)
  • Isotype: IgG
  • Myeloma used: P3X63Ag8.653
  • Recommended controls: Western Blot-IFN-Î?rel recombinant; IHC- Formalin-fixed, paraffin-embedded fish head kidney and spleen
