  • Name: Anti-Leu1 [Y2/178]
  • Alternate name: CD5 Molecule 2; Lymphocyte Antigen T1/Leu-1; LEU1; CD5 Antigen; T1
  • Clone: Y2/178
  • Tool sub type: Primary antibody
  • Class: Monoclonal
  • Purpose: Marker
  • Conjugation: Unconjugated
  • Reactivity: Human
  • Host: Mouse
  • Application: FACS ; IHC ; IF ; IP ; WB
  • Description: CD5 is a surface glycoprotein present on peripheral T cells (>95%) and B-cell chronic lymphocytic leukaemia cells that binds CD72. CD5 has utility for the monitoring of T-cell numbers in peripheral blood and the identification of leukaemias of T cell origin. Absence of the CD5 marker on childhood ALL cells is associated with a more favourable prognosis.
  • Immunogen: Normal lymphocytes treated with PHA (phytohaemagglutinin)
  • Isotype: IgG1
  • Myeloma used: P3/NS1/1-Ag4.1
