Anti-AKT1 [V7]

(Cat#: 152617)
Description

Image: Staining of zebrafish skin using Anti-AKT1 [V7]. AKT1 can be seen to localize in the cytoplasm.

For Research Use Only.

Cat# 152617
Applications ELISA, IHC, WB
Antigen/Gene or Protein Targets V-Akt Murine Thymoma Viral Oncogene Homolog 1 (AKT1)
Reactivity Zebrafish
Relevance The serine-threonine protein kinase encoded by the AKT1 gene is catalytically inactive in serum-starved primary and immortalized fibroblasts. AKT1 and the related AKT2 are activated by platelet-derived growth factor. The activation is rapid and specific, and it is abrogated by mutations in the pleckstrin homology domain of AKT1. It was shown that the activation occurs through phosphatidylinositol 3-kinase. In the developing nervous system AKT is a critical mediator of growth factor-induced neuronal survival.
Host Mouse
Immunogen Ovalbumin-conjugated synthetic peptide KDPMQRLGGG (C-terminal sequence)
Positive Control ELISA - peptide immunogen; WB - whole organism lysate; IHC - zebrafish embryo
Subclass IgG2a kappa
Myeloma Used P3X63Ag8.653
Strain Balb/c
