Anti-IL17/F2 polyclonal antibody

Invented by Abdo Alnabulsi
Invented at Vertebrate Antibodies Limited

Info

Catalogue Number 158054
Applications ELISA WB
Antigen/Gene or Protein Targets Interleukin 17 (F2)
Reactivity Salmon, Rainbow Trout and Salmonids
Relevance The IL-17 family comprises IL17A to F. IL-17A and F producing cells comprise a distinct TH17 subset in mammals. These Th17 cytokines induce the expression of numerous chemokine and antimicrobial peptides in epithelial cells and fibroblasts, which are important for the neutrophil-mediated immune reactions against extracellular microbes.

The antibodies are useful tools to monitor fish IL17/F2, a cytokine associated mucosal health.
Host Rabbit
Immunogen Peptide sequences – KIPTEESEGNGNI (100% identical to Atlantic Salmon) and CVYPTNRSQYMRYRQ (66% identical to Atlantic Salmon)
Formulation Unpurified anti-serum from rabbit preserved in 0.02% Thiomersal
Molecular Weight (kDa) 18
Notes Applications and Recommended Usage Conditions:
- ELISA recommended to be used at 1/20,000 dilution. Peptide immunogen as positive control.
- WB recommended to be used at 1/200 dilution.

Unpurified anti-serum from rabbit preserved in 0.02% Thiomersal
Positive Control ELISA: peptide immunogen WB: gill, head kidney, intestine, liver & spleen lysates
Research Area Cell Type or Organelle Marker, Immunology
