Characteristics of the enriched lysozyme-binding phage pool. Individual clones were isolated from the mbLib library after three rounds of phage display selection for lysozyme. Phage was produced separately for each clone and screened for binding activity to lysozyme and streptavidin. Streptavidin was used as the carrier surface to bind the biotinylated lysozyme. During the phage-display method of recombinant antibody generation, if M-13 filamentous phage was used for generating the library, this tool can be used to detect the bound phage as it has cy3-thyramide attached which is fluorescent.

Notes This antibody can be used to identify immobilized fragments of a protein of interest which have been bound by Filamentous Phage M13. This allows for screening to identify positive hits in the development of recombinant antibodies using the phage display technique.
