Invented by Prakash Lingasamy , Tambet Teesalu
Invented at University of Tartu

Info

Catalogue Number 157665
Amino Acid Sequence TSKQNSR
Cellular/Tissue Localisation PL2 is specific to oncofetal fibronection Extra Domain-B
Synonyms PL2, Oncofetal fibronectin (FN-EDB) specific peptide
Relevance Oncofetal fibronectin (FN-EDB) is not present in the extracellular matrix of adult tissues but it is up-regulated in tumours and malignant tissues. It has previously been used as a target for antibody-based therapies. The PL2 specific peptide has enhanced affinity to bind to FN-EDB so may be useful as an affinity ligand for delivery of diagnostic compounds into solid tumours.
Antigen/Gene or Protein Targets Oncofetal fibronectin (FN-EDB)
Research Area Cancer, Extracellular Matrix
