Invented at Versiti Blood Research Institute

Info

Catalogue Number 155098
Applications ELISA
Antigen/Gene or Protein Targets Glycoprotein 1B
Synonyms GpIb
Reactivity Human
Relevance GPIb is a platelet glycoprotein and a receptor for von Willebrand factor. Consists of alpha and beta subunits. Forms a multiprotein complex with GPIX and GPV. Binding of VWF to this complex initiates platelet adhesion to the sub-endothelium after vascular injury. Binding of AP-1 to GP1b alpha inhibits binding of VWF to GP1b alpha.
Host Mouse
Immunogen GPIba
Positive Control IgG1
Molecular Weight (kDa) 145
