Invented at Netherlands Cancer Institute

Info

Catalogue Number 154733
Applications ELISA IHC IP
Antigen/Gene or Protein Targets CD63
Synonyms Melanoma-Associated Antigen ME491; Tetraspanin-30; Granulophysin
Reactivity Human
Relevance CD63 is a member of the transmembrane 4 superfamily, also known as the tetraspanin family. These proteins mediate signal transduction events that play a role in the regulation of cell development, activation, growth, and motility. CD63 is mainly associated with membranes of intracellular vesicles, although cell surface expression may be induced.
Host Mouse
Immunogen Purified membranes of human melanoma cells
Subclass IgG1
Molecular Weight (kDa) 25
Myeloma Used P3X63Ag8
Recommended Growing Conditions DMEM + 10% FBS ulta low IgG, 37 ⁰C 5% CO2
Strain Balb/c
Notes X63 x spleen cells from BALB/c

CD63 has a predicted MW of 25 kDa, however a number of potential glycosylation sites may affect the migration of the protein
