Invented at Netherlands Cancer Institute

Info

Catalogue Number 154729
Applications IHC IF IP WB
Antigen/Gene or Protein Targets cErbB2/HER-2
Synonyms NEU
Reactivity Human, Mouse and Rat
Relevance HER2 is a member of the human epidermal growth factor receptor (HER/EGFR/ERBB) family. Amplification or over-expression of this oncogene has been shown to play an important role in the development and progression of certain aggressive types of breast cancer. In recent years the protein has become an important biomarker and target of therapy for approximately 30% of breast cancer patients
Host Mouse
Immunogen Mouse immunized with a synthetic peptide TAENPEYLGLDVPV corresponding to amino acid residues
Subclass IgG1
Molecular Weight (kDa) 185
Myeloma Used Sp2/0-Ag14
Recommended Growing Conditions IMDM + 1% ZAP, 37 ⁰C 5% CO2
Strain Balb/c
Notes The Antibody reacts equally well with the wild as well as the mutant (oncogenic) form c-erbB-2 protein but preferentially recognizes the unphosphorylated form of c-erbB-2 protein. Derived by fusion of SP2/0 Mouse myeloma cells with spleen cells from
a BALB/c
Research Area Cancer, Cell Signaling & Signal Transduction
