Anti-p22phox [CS9]

Invented at Montana State University

Info

Catalogue Number 154138
Applications WB
Antigen/Gene or Protein Targets p22phox
Reactivity Human
Relevance Monoclonal antibody which detects cytochrome b light chain.

Background and Research Application
p22phox protein, also known as the human neutrophil cytochrome b light chain (CYBA), is a heterodimeric integral membrane protein which is an essential component of the membrane-associated enzyme phagocyte NADPH-oxidase. Mutations in CYBA gene are known to cause autosomal recessive chronic granulomatous disease that is characterized by the failure of activated phagocytes to generate superoxide. Specific polymorphisms of the CYBA gene have also been identified that are associated with a decreased risk of coronary artery disease.
Host Mouse
Immunogen Partially purified human neutrophil flavocytochrome b
Immunogen UniProt ID P13498
Subclass IgG1
Molecular Weight (kDa) 21 kDa
Notes Production Details
Purified using multi-step affinity chromatography with protein A.

Storage Conditions
Store at -20 degrees frozen. Avoid repeated freeze/thaw cycles.

Points of Interest
Anti-p22phox (CS9) targets an epitope within 5 amino acids from the C-terminal region. Shows reactivity against human p22phox amino acids 165-169.

Concentration
1mg/ml as standard
