Relevance Sam68 (KHDRBS1 also known as KH domain-containing, RNA-binding, signal transduction-associated protein 1) is a RNA binding protein that binds to U(U/A)AA direct repeats to regulate RNA splicing, transcription, RNA metabolism, signal transduction, the cell cycle and apoptosis. Post-translational modifications on Sam68 is what allows it to regulate many different cellular process. For instance, when Sam68 is phosphorylated, on serine 113 and 117, it forms nuclear factor-kappaB (NF-κB) complexes and binds to promoters of genomic targets important for human lymphocyte activation.
Host Rabbit
Immunogen Synthetic peptide (NH2-CAEKD(Sp)LDP(Sp)FTH-COOH)
Molecular Weight (kDa) 68 kDa
Research Area Apoptosis and Programmed Cell Death, Cell Cycle, Cell Signaling & Signal Transduction, Gene Expression
