Anti-LewisA, Recombinant [PR 5C5]

Invented at University of Oxford

Info

Catalogue Number 153276
Applications ELISA IHC
Antigen/Gene or Protein Targets Lewis A antigen
Reactivity Human
Relevance Lewis a antigen is expressed on colonic mucus, epithelial cells and cell membranes. Blood group related antigens represent a group of carbohydrate determinants carried on both glycolipids and glycoproteins. They are usually mucin-type, and are detected on erythrocytes, certain epithelial cells, and in secretions of certain individuals. Sixteen genetically and biosynthetically distinct but inter-related specificities belong to this group of antigens, including A, B, H, Lewis A, Lewis B, Lewis X, Lewis Y, and precursor type 1 chain antigens. PR 5C5 is useful for histological diagnosis of colon disorders and has wide reactivity with bowel, small intestine, stomach and colo-rectal tumours.
Host Mouse
Immunogen Mucosal scrapings and membrane preparations from normal colorectal epithelium and possibly booster inoculations with the colon carcinoma cell line HT29.
Subclass IgG1
Formulation PBS
Concentration 1mgml-1
Research Area Cancer, Immunology
Notes Recommended for use with formalin fixed tissues.
Recombinant monoclonal antibody produced from the original monoclonal cell line. Manufactured using Absolute Antibody’s Recombinant Platform with variable regions (i.e. specificity) from the hybridoma.

Five products available for this clone:
