Anti-HLA-DRB1 [DJ9]

Invented at University Of Southern Denmark

Info

Applications FACS IHC IF WB
Antigen/Gene or Protein Targets Human major histocompatibility complex class II, DR (HLA-DRB1)
Synonyms Major histocompatibility complex, class II, DRB1
Reactivity Human
Relevance HLA-DRB1 belongs to the HLA class II beta chain paralogs. The class II molecule is a heterodimer consisting of an alpha and a beta chain, both anchored in the membrane. HLA-DRB1 binds peptides derived from antigens that access the endocytic route of antigen presenting cells and presents them on the cell surface for recognition by the CD4 T-cells. Class II molecules are expressed in antigen presenting cells B lymphocytes, dendritic cells, macrophages. HLA-Drb1 is expressed at a level five times higher than its paralogs DRB3, DRB4 and DRB5. HLA-DRB1, clone DJ9, has been shown to be a relevant marker of bone marrow derived mesenchymal stem cells and their osteogenic derivatives (Andersen, D., et al., 2011).
Host Mouse
Immunogen Whole, intact hMSC-TERT Cells
Subclass IgG2a lambda
Notes Epitope: The epitope is on the extracellular side of the HLA-DRB1 molecule
