Anti-SARS Spike [2B3E5]

Invented at Icahn School Of Medicine At Mount Sinai

Info

Applications ELISA IHC WB
Antigen/Gene or Protein Targets SARS Spike
Synonyms E2, E2 glycoprotein, Human coronavirus spike glycoprotein, S, S glycoprotein, Spike glycoprotein
Reactivity Virus
Relevance Severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus (SARS-CoV) genome encodes for four major structural proteins, namely nucleocaspid (N), spike (S), membrane (M) and envelope (E). The viral RNA is packaged by the N protein into a helical nucleocapsid. Other molecular aspects of SARS-CoV N protein have also been reported, including self-dimerization, RNA-binding capabilities and its ability to activate signal transduction pathways. In addition, it was shown to induce apoptosis and actin reorganization in mammalian cells under stressed conditions.
Host Mouse
Subclass IgG2a
Research Area Virology
