Anti-Desmoglein [33-3D]

Invented at University of Southampton

Info

Catalogue Number 151794
Applications EM IHC IF WB
Antigen/Gene or Protein Targets Desmoglein 1 and 2
Reactivity Bovine and Human
Relevance Desmoglein 1 is a calcium-binding transmembrane glycoprotein component of desmosomes in vertebrate epithelial cells. Desmosomes are intercellular adhesive junctions that occur in almost all epithelia and should therefore be useful as epithelial markers in tumour diagnosis. 33-3D is directed against desmoglein in mammalian tissues, tumours and cultured cells.
Host Mouse
Immunogen Bovine desmoglein (desmosomal glycoprotein 1) from nasal epidermis
Positive Control 33-3D was validated on MDCK cells which are fixed using methanol (Vilela et al 1995).
Subclass IgM
Myeloma Used P3/NS1/1-Ag4.1
Recommended Growing Conditions DMEM + 2mM glutamine + 20% FBS
Strain Balb/c
Research Area Adhesion, Cancer, Cell Signaling & Signal Transduction
