Anti-von Willebrand Factor [RFF-VIII:R/1]

Invented by Prof Alison Goodall from University Of Leicester
Invented at University College London

Info

Catalogue Number 151528
Applications ELISA FACS IF Fn RIA WB
Antigen/Gene or Protein Targets Von Willebrand factor (VWF)
Reactivity Primate
Relevance Anti-Anti-Von Willebrand Factor [RFF-VIII:R/1] specifically binds to human factor VIII related antigen (VIII:RAg) in plasma and in vascular endothelial cells but has no reactivity with factor VIII procoagulant antigen (VIII:cAg). This antibody is a potent inhibitor of von Willebrand factor activity in that it can totally neutralise risocetin-induced aggregation of platelet rich plasma and inhibit platelet adhesion at high flow rates. RFF-VIII:R/2 can be used in a one-stage, fluid phase immunoradiometric assay that can detect VIII:RAg.

This monoclonal antibody binds to human von Willebrand factor (VW) and inhibits it's binding to platelets. Very similar in characteristics to RFF-VIII:R/1.
Host Mouse
Immunogen Purified human Factor VIII-VWF complex
Subclass IgG1 kappa
Myeloma Used P3/NS1/1-Ag4.1
Recommended Growing Conditions RPMI+10% FCS; non-adherent; subculture every 2-3 days; split 1:5
Notes IHC - Paraffin recommended dilution of 1:50 - 1:200
Research Area Cardiovascular, Stem Cell Biology
