Anti-Zebrafish gut absorptive cell epitopes [FIS 4E8/1]

Invented by Linda Ariza-McNaughton from Francis Crick Institute
Invented at Cancer Research UK London Research Institute: Lincoln's Inn Fields

Info

Catalogue Number 151512
Applications IHC IP WB
Antigen/Gene or Protein Targets Zebrafish gut absorptive cell epitopes
Reactivity Zebrafish
Relevance The transparency of the juvenile zebrafish and its genetic advantages make it an attractive model for the study of intestinal differentiation and renewal. This antibody labels the brush border / glycocalyxof intestinal absorptive cells (apical ends of microvilli). This antibody is not reactive with goblet cells; thus 4E8 can be used as a marker for brush border cells.
Host Mouse
Immunogen Lysate of zebrafish intestines
Subclass IgG1
Molecular Weight (kDa) 200
Myeloma Used Sp2/0-Ag14
Strain Balb/c
Notes Suggested Dilution: 1:200

4E8/1 may be used on formalin fixed gut sections of zebrafish.

Alternative name: 2F11 antibody
Research Area Aquaculture, Cell Cycle, Cell Type or Organelle Marker, Cell Signaling & Signal Transduction, Developmental Biology, Epigenetics & Nuclear Signalling, Epitope Tags, Stem Cell Biology
