Raf KO Mouse

Invented at University Of Leicester

Info

Catalogue Number 151476
Antigen/Gene or Protein Targets Raf1+/- heterozygous knockout
Disease Keywords Cancer; Apoptosis
Relevance The Raf-/- embryo phenotype shows defects in vascularisation and placental development as well as increased apoptosis of many tissues.
Production Details Raf-1 targeting vectors, where exons 10-13 were replaced with a resistance marker, were transfected into 129Ola ES cells. Successfully targeted ES cells containing homologous recombination events were selected and injected into blastocysts, Chimeric offspring were mated to MF-1 outbred background and the the C57BL6 inbred strain.
Conditional No
Growth/Phenotype Keywords Vascularization, Placental Development, Apoptosis
Mouse Genetic Background/Cross History 129Ola/MF-1 or 129Ola/C57BL6
Zygosity Heterozygous. Homozygous Raf-1-/- mice die in embryogenesis.
Research Area Cancer, Cell Signaling & Signal Transduction, Epigenetics & Nuclear Signalling, Genetic Studies Tools, Neurobiology
