Catalogue Number 151301
Applications ELISA WB
Antigen/Gene or Protein Targets Polo-like-kinase protein (Plk)
Synonyms Polo Like Kinase 1; Serine/Threonine-Protein Kinase 13; EC 2.7.11.21; STPK13; PLK-1; Cell Cycle Regulated Protein Kinase; Polo Like Kinase; EC 2.7.11
Reactivity Xenopus laevis
Relevance Polo-like kinase (Plx) is a mitotic regulator conserved from yeasts to humans. Many key cell cycle regulators such as p53, cdc25, cyclin B and the Anaphase Promoting Complex are directly targeted by Plx.The Anaphase promoting complex is responsible for the destruction of cyclins and other proteins involved with mitosis.
Host Mouse
Immunogen Baculo expressed Polo-like-kinase from Xenopus laevis
Positive Control Xenopus egg extract
Subclass IgG1 kappa
Myeloma Used Sp2/0-Ag14
Recommended Growing Conditions DMEM + 5% FCS
Strain Balb/c
Notes Plx is activated by phosphorylation. AZ44 only detects the mitotic form of Plx (Xenopus laevis) which may be due to the recognition of a phosphorylated epitope. Recommended concentration: 1ug/ml
Research Area Cell Type or Organelle Marker
