Catalogue Number 151121
Applications IHC IF IP WB
Antigen/Gene or Protein Targets Keratin 14
Reactivity Human, Mouse and Pig
Relevance Keratin 14, a type 1 intermediate filament protein, is one of the two keratins which distinguish stratifying epithelial cell types from simple epithelial cell types. This protein can be detected in intermediate filaments and stratified squamous epithelial cells; in the basal (myoepithelial) cells of glandular epithelia and all cells of keratinocyte lineage, including tumours. LL001 therefore characterises stratifying/keratinocyte cell types.
Host Mouse
Immunogen Peptide (last 16 carboxy-terminal amino acids of human keratin) coupled to thyroglobulin by the extra Cys added at the N terminus.
Subclass IgG2a kappa
Molecular Weight (kDa) 50
Myeloma Used Sp2/0-Ag14
Recommended Growing Conditions DMEM + 5% FCS
Strain Balb/c
Notes LL001 may be used on formalin fixed sections but is more effective on unfixed frozen sections.
