Anti-Cytochrome P450 2B1, 2B2 [b/e3]

Invented by Prof Roland Wolf from University of Dundee
Invented at University of Dundee

Info

Catalogue Number 151064
Applications ELISA IP WB
Antigen/Gene or Protein Targets Cytochromes P450 2B1, 2B2, CYP2B1, CYP2B2
Reactivity Mouse and Rat
Relevance The CYP2 family are part of the microsomal drug metabolising system that is responsible for oxidation of many therapeutic agents as well as steroids, fatty acids and many other endogenous substances. CYP2B1 and CYP2B2 are the major phenobarbital-inducible rat hepatic cytochromes P450s.

This reagent was created through a research collaboration between Cancer Research UK and Syngenta Crop Protection AG.
Host Mouse
Immunogen Rat liver cytochromes p450 2B1 and 2B2
Subclass IgG1
Molecular Weight (kDa) 52
Recommended Growing Conditions DMEM + 5% FCS
Notes Clone b/e3 inhibits PROD activity in liver microsomes of PB-treated rats and inhibits ECOD activity in liver microsomes of PB-treated but not 3MC-treated rats. The CYP2B1 antibody recognises the major barbiturate-inducible P450s in mouse and rat.

Syngenta Crop Protection AG is the owner of this product.
