Catalogue Number 151016
Applications IHC IF IP WB
Antigen/Gene or Protein Targets Cyclin A
Synonyms CCNA1; Cyclin A1; Testicular Tissue Protein Li 34; CT146
Reactivity Bovine
Relevance Cyclins bind to and regulate the activity of the Cyclin Dependent Protein Kinases (CDKs). Cyclin A is involved in the regulation of the cell cycle and is essential for progression through S phase. Cyclin A protein is absent in cells prior to S-phase, during which its levels increase and peak. Cyclin A is a marker for actively proliferating cells and for cells in S phase.
Host Mouse
Immunogen Bovine Cyclin A
Subclass IgG1
Myeloma Used Sp2/0-Ag14
Recommended Growing Conditions DMEM + 5% FCS
Notes E72.1 has been used to co-immunoprecipitates CIP-1 in active trimeric complexes of cyclinA cdk-CIP-1.
E72.1 is not recommended for use on parrafin embedded specimens.
Research Area Cancer, Cell Cycle, Epigenetics & Nuclear Signalling
